Getting around
Getting around in Prague is easy. Prague is a rather compact city and many tourist attractions are located within a small area which can be explored on foot. In addition, Prague has one of the best public transportation systems in Europe which provides convenient access to the majority of the city and outskirts.
Public transport:
The Prague public transportation system integrates tram, bus and subway lines. During the day, bus and tram services operate from 4.30am to 11.30pm; the subway operates from 4 am to midnight. All-night transportation is provided by trams 51-58 and night buses.
Tourist passes allow unlimited rides for 24 hours, 3 days or 5 days. The passes are priced as follows: 24-hour pass: 100 CZK, 3-day pass: 330 CZK, 5-day pass 500 CZK.The tourist passes are sold at ticket offices located at some metro stations (e.g. e.g. Dejvická, Hradčanská, Můstek, Florenc, Hlavní nádraží, Nádraží Holešovice, Náměstí Míru) and at tourist information centers.
Another option is transportation tickets.There are two types of tickets - single tickets for one use or transfer tickets valid for 60-90 minutes.
